Our goal is to not only make professionals with advanced skills but also to create a better future while thinking outside the box. We want to bring out the full potential within our students as they master their talent. Once working in a salon, there will be many challenges to face on a daily basis that does not always involve working with your hands. At Ruben's Five Star Academy we emphasize the importance of customer service and the psychology behind it.

Students also have the opportunity to participate in barber and hair competitions. As a group we are encouraged to attend beauty shows and expos, being that there is always education opportunity about new products, tools, techniques, and styles. We want our students to be up to date on the latest and trendiest of styles and fashion. But not only do we participate in educational activities as a group, but we have also done and continue to do several events to give back to the community.

As a business owner, seeing the many defects of licensed individuals with the lack of either skill or professionalism, there was a gap that needed to be filled. After traveling through several cities in the U.S. educating at beauty shows and private seminars, the decision of establishing an institution here in Lake Wales, FL came to happen. Experiencing the many aspects of working in this industry locally and out of town, we are proud to share all the knowledge and experience earned over the years with our students.
